Quotes:

Hardest scene: "Neville comes up to me with his toad, Trevor, and says,"Do you want to kiss Trevor goodnight?" Every time he did this I burst into laughter. I was supposed to give him an "I hate you" look, but I couldn't help myself. It took me about eight takes to get it."

"Now that I've played the snotty, bossy, posh Hermione Granger, I'd like to play some American high school girl. I want to play something totally different. I want to play every kind of character and every point of view, but I'm probably going to be playing Hermione for a while."

"It was unbelievable seeing me as an action figure! In a few months, toddlers all around the country will be biting my head off!"

On kissing her co-stars: "Oh my God, no, no chance, no chance. That's not in my contract!"

"I'm very, very sporty - I ski, I fish, I do field hockey and tons of stuff."

"I think I could be 100 years old and in my rocker, but I'll still be very proud to say I was in the 'Harry Potter' films."

"It's the scariest thing that's ever happened to me, it's the biggest thing that's ever happened to me, and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me! I really enjoyed making the film and
I'd love to think that people would look up to me. That's very flattering."

"I might as well have been in the army. It was really hard work. I think that day I swallowed 50% dust and 50% food, it was that tough."

"Some of Hermione's lines left me wondering what on earth she was going on a
bout !!"

"I believe that Hermione will end up single."

"This REALLY bugs me!" says Watson of her character's unusual name. "I go around saying, 'Everyone repeat it with me: Her-MY-oh-nee', because everyone says Her-my-WON, Her-my-OWN."

"Most people are really nice but some stare, like you're some kind of zoo exhibit and not a real person with real feelings."

" I would like Voldemort to be properly killed-- dead-- so that Harry won't have anymore problems. For Ron's dad to get really, really, super-duper rich. For the Malfoys to go broke. And I'd like Hermione to get a really, really good job."

Chris Columbus on Emma filming the hug scene in the Chamber of Secrets. "I asked Emma to hug Dan, and she said, 'No way,' and that was the day she was the most nervous being
on the set. She was like, 'I am not going to hug him, no I'm not.' And I said, 'You've been petrified, this is one of your best friends, if not your best friend, you have to hug him,' I said, 'but you won't hug Ron, because that's where the tension is.'"

Erika Eleniak Biography

Erika Eleniak was born on September 29, 1969 in Glendale, a small suburb of Los Angeles where she spent the first 10 years of her life. She got her name from her Ukrainian great grand-father who emigrated to the United States. Her parents got divorced very quickly. Her dad, who came from his native Canada with the dream of becoming an actor in Hollywood, did not succeed. At the time, he was going out with a lady working in film production, who put Erika on the path to being an actress. At 10, the petite blonde became a TV star by modelling for a maker of children's clothes. As an adolescent she moved on to doing advertisements for shampoos and motorcycles. Then Erika Eleniak plunged into drugs and alcohol. Salvation came by chance on a Santa Monica beach. She was only 17 when she got to know Steve Ferguson. When she was 18 he signed her up to Alcoholics Anonymous and helped her through her detoxification. The situation became complicated when Robert (Steve's father) and Erika's mother got married. There was even talk of Erika's marriage, but she never married Steve. In 1989 Erika wanted to be in Playboy and asked Steve to contact her with a Playboy photographer. He accepted Erika and she adorned July '89 issue Playboy in a provocative series of nautical studies. Year 1989 was very important to Erika. She won her seminal role in Baywatch which demonstrated she can "do more than just act the dumb blonde". While working on the the Baywatch series, Erika met Billy Warlock. Neither of them were single, but their friendship slowly changed into love. He was the reason why Erika ended up leaving the show only after two seasons. But they relation hit the rocks, maybe because Billy confessed: "I can't bear anyone else to see her body". Her return to the movie scene was shattering. In 1992, she came to public notice in the movie "Under Siege" with Steven Seagal. The film was a huge success. She can be seen again in "Chasers", with a scene that seems to have made an impression on most of the masculine population of the United States. William McNamara, her partner in this film, was also in her life. Her relationship with Billy Warlock, which was considered solid, fizzled out, without anyone really knowing why. Then Erika filmed another movie with William called "A Girl in the Cadillac". Erika also tried what in takes to play in an interactive game named "Panic in the Park", which was to my opinion very poor. While she was awaiting her charming prince, "I go out a lot with many different friends, but there isn't one that I would want to marry. Yet, I would like to get married. I can easily imagine myself living on a ranch in Montana with a family." she was filming. She played in "A Pyromaniac's Love Story", "Bordello of Blood", "87th Precinct: Heatwave" etc. Then in 1997 she finally found her prince. His name is Philip Goglia and they got married in the beginning of March 1998. Looks like Erika is catching her second breath with as many as 4 projects scheduled to be released this year.

Erica Durance Biography

The charming Erica Durance was born June 21, 1978 in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. Her home town of 3,500 people, lying just north of Calgary, proved to be an exceptional place for her upbringing. While her father toiled away behind the wheel of a delivery truck and her mother worked in the local library, Erica became interested in music and drama, snagging a few roles in small theatre productions, despite the braces she wore on her teeth. But after high school, her ambitions became more serious. She relocated to Vancouver to pursue acting full-time.

At age 18, she married her then-boyfriend of a year and took the name Erica Parker, the name to which her early acting roles were credited. Though they were not numerous or important by Hollywood standards, they did help to prepare her for her larger roles that were to come. Sadly, in 1999 the couple separated after only three years of marriage.

Erica made what many consider to be her “real” foray into professional acting with her role in the 2002 thriller, The Untold, also known as Inexplicable (Canadian) and Sasquatch (USA). In the movie, Durance assumed the character of Tara Knowles, daughter of renowned billionaire Harlan Knowles. Even though the movie had a sizable budget (nearly three million dollars), it received little acclaim from critics and moviegoers. Thereafter, she continued to make more cinematic appearances, snagging a role in Devil Winds, a movie about tornadoes, and House of the Dead, an adaptation of the popular video game, in 2003.

In 2004, the 5’7”, hazel-eyed beauty began to broaden her career, appearing in the television series Andromeda and the show Tru Calling. She also began starring in one of her most popular roles to date, playing the sultry Lois Lane in the WB’s Superman series, Smallville. Due to the immense positive reaction from her fans, she became a staple of the show, appearing in thirteen of twenty-two episodes.

Though Erica had been through her share of tempestuous loves, she once again settled down, marring actor David Palffy on January 8, 2005 after dating him for nearly three years. The couple met during filming of Stargate SG-1, where Durance had appeared in a guest spot. They have since bought a
house together and are living in Vancouver, where they both continue to work and enjoy each other’s company.

It is rumored that Erica has many potential upcoming gigs that will satisfy her fans’ desire to see her in more high-profile roles. For example, she is to star in a Lifetime Monday Night Movie where she is to play a bride who has a disastrous bachelorette party, a great departure from her previous roles. In addition to this movie, Durance has been named to several “hot” lists. She will grace the cover of the May 2006 issue of FHM, in which she is ranked number thirty-eight of the one hundred sexiest women in the world. She will also make an appearance in the 2007 Women of Sci-Fi calendar. Acting critics are also taking note of her recent performances, as she was nominated to the 32nd Annual Saturn Awards for her role as supporting actress in the Smallville television series.

Despite the attention Erica is receiving for these recent accolades, one of her most talked-about upcoming roles appears in the sequel to the 2004 blockbuster, The Butterfly Effect. The sequel, which is yet to be titled, casts Durance in the role of “Julie”, where she will assume, yet another, role as the beautiful and vulnerable supporting character. Fans of Durance should not miss this one, as it may prove to be her most important role yet.
