Rai made her movie debut in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Iruvar (1997) opposite Mohanlal. She had her first commercial success in the Tamil movie Jeans (1998), and came to the attention of Bollywood in the Hindi movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her performance in the film won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award, and she successfully performed in Bhansali's next project, Devdas (2002), for which she won her second Best Actress Award at the Filmfare. Since then, she has acted in over forty movies in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and English, including the international productions Bride & Prejudice (2003), Mistress of Spices (2005), The Last Legion (2007) and The Pink Panther 2 (2009) in English.

At an early age her parents moved to Mumbai where she attended the Arya Vidya Mandir high school in Santa Cruz. Rai then entered Jai Hind College at Churchgate for one year, and then moved to Ruparel College in Matunga to finish her "HSC" studies. She did well in school and planned to become an architect.

She can communicate in several languages, including Tulu, Hindi, English, Marathi and Tamil.[2] While pursuing her studies in architecture, Rai began modeling on the side. In the 1994 Miss India contest, she won the second place (behind Sushmita Sen), and went on to win the Miss World title the same year, where she also won the Miss Photogenic award. She abandoned her studies after winning the pageant and spent one year reigning as Miss World in London. Rai then started working as a professional model and then moved on to her current profession as an actress.

Adriana Sklerinova Biography

name: Adriana Sklenarikova Karembeu
birth: Slovakia, 1971
bust: waist hips cm: 87-59-90,
inch: 34-24-35
height: 178cm, 6 feet
hair: blonde
eyes: blue
husband: Christian Karembeu

Adriana Sklenarikova was born in 1971, Slovakia. Her childhood went through some rough times as a result of a poor country seized with war.
It was a big change coming into fashion - like an underground culture. She later hit a great jackpot, which started the f
oundations of success. The tall, sexy blonde was named the new Wonder Bra girl, and this increased awareness of the soon to be star.
Adriana has represented many big companies, Dnyx Jeans,
Byron Lars, Laura Biagiotti, to name a few.
"I've changed my life from black to white. There was nothing like fashion in Slovakia. I would like to keep working in this amazing world after the ending of my modeling career. I appreciate the proposal of the Italian movie director Carlo Vanzina for making a movie, but I think that was too involving for me, I'm too busy now. I also think that a model should not diversify too much her objectives." - Adriana.
Her deal with Peroni Beer paved the final stretch to fame, where she appeared in TV spots. She is now part of the Victoria Secret modeling team with other great supermodels like Tyra Banks. In 1998, Cupid's arrow finally got the better of her and one lucky man became he
r husband. Adriana Sklenarikova married Christian Karembeu, a soccer player to the Real Madrid team, in Spain of '98. The event was a big one, and made some noise.
The Slovakian is very famous in Europe but North America is still too stupid to realize they're missing out on the beauty and business of Adriana. Too bad. Maybe you have read that quote [from somewhere in the page] which askmen.com says, "A true test of a woman's beauty is how long you can really look at her." Maybe not the perfect barometer to go by, but you get the feeling of what hits the jackpot and what doesn't. Adriana definitely hits the jackpot. She is beautiful. Maybe it's that great tall figure with great curves, or her charming face. Those lips look like they could land a huge suction cup style kiss.
Face it, Adriana is a beauty bomb still exploding.

Amanda Peet Biography

Date of Birth
11 January 1972, New York, New York, USA

Height
5' 8" (1.73 m)

Mini Biography

Amanda Peet grew up in New York with her older sister and their parents, Charles, a lawyer, and Penny, a social worker. She made an unconventional stage debut at the age of three when she jumped onto the stage during a play; yet, despite this early start, she later studied acting more as a hobby than anything else. She studied history at Columbia University where a drama professor convinced her to audition for acting teacher Uta Hagen, with whom she later went on to study for a four-year period; during which time, she participated in the off-Broadway revival of Clifford Odets' "Awake and Sing." She supported herself during the audition phase of her career by waitressing and with the residual checks she received from a Skittles candy commercial. Perseverance and hard work paid off, and in 1995, she was cast in a guest-starring role on the hit series "Law & Order" (1990).

Her feature film debut came in 1995 in the movie Animal Room (1995). For a while after, Amanda continued to find steady work, but also found herself appearing in a depressingly large number of indie films that were never picked up. She did however, meet her boyfriend Brian Van Holt on the set of indie movie Whipped (2000). Her turn as the ditzy hit-woman with the heart of gold in the hit comedy The Whole Nine Yards (2000) opposite Bruce Willis, that took her from supporting role status to leading lady. That same year she was voted one of the 50 Most Beautiful People In The World By People Magazine.
