Emily Procter Biography

Early life

Procter was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was two years old when her parents William (a general practitioner) and Barbara divorced. She is a graduate of Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. While at East Carolina University she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. After she received her degrees in journalism and dance at East Carolina, she was employed as a television weather anchor at WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina.

Career

Emily Procter made her way into the stormy world of acting by forecasting the weather. While a Journalism and Dance major at East Carolina University, she landed a job as a weather anchor for a local CBS affiliate. One thing led to another, and soon she was headed west, travelling the well-travelled route to Los Angeles.

And after the move to Los Angeles, her father provided the costs for acting school for two years. Before even graduating, she had already landed a number of small roles in films such as Jerry Maguire (1996) and Breast Men (1997), where she appeared along with David Schwimmer and Chris Cooper. During the 1995–96 season (season 3) of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, she portrayed Lana Lang the first blond actress to ever do so. Procter made her film debut with a small role in Leaving Las Vegas in 1995, She also briefly appeared in the 1997 TV movie The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion! as Mavis.

She also had a recurring guest role as Associate White House Counsel Ainsley Hayes on NBC's The West Wing. She also portrayed a brief love interest for Joey (Matt LeBlanc) in Friends.

A good friend of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" actress Jorja Fox, who persuaded her to try for the role of Calleigh Duquesne in CSI: Miami, which has been running on American television since 2002.[1]

She participated in 2007's LiveEarth by reading (along with several other actresses) an essay written by Michelle Gardner-Quinn while Gardner-Quinn was a student at the University of Vermont.[2]

Private life

Procter prefers to keep her private life private. Procter often enjoys taking holidays with her brother, a professional chef.

Procter jogs for two hours a day, five days a week, and has taken part in various triathlons and marathons. Procter is very interested in interior decoration and antiques, putting this to practical use in the 1921 Spanish-style home that she owns in Los Angeles. During the 2007 writers strike, she designed a home for a friend in Saint John, U.S. Virgin Islands. In People Magazine's Country Special of March 2009, it was revealed as she decorated Kenny Chesney's home in Malibu. An avid poker player, she learned to play the game as a child when her father would play a game called 'penny poker' with her, and has participated in at least one celebrity poker tournament. Procter also has a 1980's cover band.

Procter has volunteered as an actress with the Young Storytellers Program, and helps out at homeless shelters.

Emily has a boyfriend as said on Chelsea Lately.

Elizabeth Shue Biography

Being born into a well-established and well-educated family did't necessarily meant much to Elisabeth Shue. Despite such family accolades, Elisabeth Shue's parents divorced while she was in the fourth grade. Due to the occupational demands of her parents, Elisabeth Shue and her siblings found plenty of time to get into trouble in their suburban neighbourhood but Elisabeth Shue soon enrolled in Wellesley College, an all-female institution which kept her out of trouble. During her studies, Elisabeth Shue found a way to make a little extra money by acting in television commercials. Elisabeth became a common sight in ads for Burger King, DeBeers diamonds, and Hellman's mayonnaise. In 1984, Elisabeth Shue landed a role in the The Karate Kid (1984) as the the onscreen girlfriend of Ralph Macchio and a role as the teenage daughter of a military family in the short-lived series, "Call to Glory" (1984). At this time, Elisabeth Shue got herself an acting coach and transferred to Harvard where she began studying political science.

Elisabeth Shue continued her acting work with Adventures in Babysitting (1987), Cocktail (1988), Soapdish (1991) and The Marrying Man (1991). Unfortunately, time was catching up with the impressive girl-next-door. Elisabeth Shue's brother Andrew Shue had almost eclipsed her own fame by landing a starring role in the hit TV series, "Melrose Place" (1992). It was at this time that Elisabeth Shue took a chance on a low-budget, high-risk project entitled, Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Mike Figgis. Elisabeth Shue's gutsy portrayal of a prostitute mixed up with a suicidal alcoholic paid off as she was recognized with a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards that year. This was the turning point of Elisabeth Shue's career. What followed was a barrage of film roles including The Saint (1997), Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry (1997), Palmetto (1998) and Hollow Man (2000). Almost forty years of age, Elisabeth Shue still continues to impress with a variety of film and television roles which show-off her versality as an actress and not just her good looks and girl-next-door persona.


Personal life

Known among her friends and family as, "Lisa," Shue is married to Davis Guggenheim, director of the HBO TV series Deadwood, An Inconvenient Truth and Gracie.[8] Their son, Miles William, was born on November 11, 1997. She gave birth to her first daughter, Stella Street, on March 19, 2001. Her third child, Agnes Charles, was born on June 18, 2006. Her son's middle name was in honor of her second brother William, who died in 1988 at the age of 26

from a swimming accident while on family vacation.

Elisabeth Shue and Amy Brenneman gave birth to their children in one and the same week. Having two healthy babies, they align next to the famous mummies in Hollywwod. Shue's girl Stella came into the world on Monday - her second child by her husband Davis Guggenheim, аnd Brenneman's daughter Charlotte - on Tuesday, her first child by her husband Brad Silberling, a director.

Eliza Dushku Biography

Eliza Patricia Dushku was born December 30, 1980 in Watertown, Massachusetts, the daughter of Philip R. Dushku, an administrator and teacher in the Boston Public Schools, and ex-wife Judith "Judy" (née Rasmussen), a political science professor at Suffolk University in Boston.[2]Albanian American and her mother is Danish American through both of her grandfathers and English American through both of her grandmothers Dushku's father is . Dushku attended Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, Mass and graduated from Watertown High School. She was raised a Mormon, the faith of her mother (though she is not actively practicing).[5] She has three older brothers: Aaron, Benjamin (Ben) (born February 5, 1976), and Nathaniel (Nate) (born June 8, 1977, in Boston, Massachusetts), the last of whom is a model and actor. Her parents divorced when she was still an infant. Surrounded by brothers, she admits to being quite the tomboy when she was a little girl. Rumor has it Eliza has also studied dancing and singing and was often seen in children's theater, signing for the deaf. Now 20 years old, she already is considered a veteran of the large and small screen. Eliza has numerous starring roles in several acclaimed films. He began her movie career in the movie "That Night" at the tender age of twelve, playing Alice Bloom opposite Juliette Lewis. She steals every scene she is in. The movie Bring It On opened #1 in the box office in August 2000. Eliza received second billing as Missy, a tough tumbler turned cheerleader.
